Fridges World – Terms & Conditions of Sale

At Fridges World, we specialise in custom-made, pre-ordered refrigeration systems tailored to each customer's exact specifications. The following terms apply to all orders and are designed to ensure a clear and secure business relationship.


1. Payment Terms

  • 70% deposit required to confirm the order and begin production

  • 20% payment due when goods are ready for dispatch

  • 10% final payment due upon completion or installation

  • Orders will not proceed or be delivered without timely payment at each stage


2. Pricing

  • All prices are exclusive of VAT

  • Prices may be reviewed due to raw material cost increases or currency fluctuations

  • Quotations are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise in writing


3. Cancellation & Order Changes

  • As a supplier of custom-made products, orders cannot be cancelled once production has started

  • Cancellations are only permitted within 2 working days of order confirmation, provided production has not commenced

  • Any modifications to confirmed orders must be submitted at least 30 working days before scheduled loading

  • Requests to postpone delivery must be submitted at least 20 working days in advance and are subject to availability


4. Refund & Return Policy

  • All products are custom-manufactured and non-refundable

  • Returns are not accepted unless a product is proven to be defective under warranty

  • Refunds will not be granted in cases involving:

    • Change of mind

    • Third-party delays (e.g. shipping, customs, installation)

    • Incorrect specifications provided by the customer

  • Any damage or defect must be reported in writing within 48 hours of delivery, with clear photos for assessment


5. Construction & Electrical Work

  • Fridges World does not provide construction or electrical installation services

  • These must be organised by the customer, and improper installation will void the warranty


6. Delivery & Collection

  • Standard lead time is 8 weeks from receipt of deposit and final specification approval

  • Goods are delivered FCA (Free Carrier) from our UK warehouse or manufacturing partner

  • Customers must arrange transportation and ensure all loading requirements (e.g. vehicle type, floor protection) are met


7. Warranty Terms

  • 1-year parts and labour warranty from the date of delivery

  • 1-year compressor warranty

  • Decorative components or finishes damaged in transit will be replaced free of charge if reported within 48 hours

  • Warranty exclusions include:

    • Misuse or negligence

    • Incorrect or uncertified installation

    • Electrical faults or voltage issues

  • All warranty claims must include serial numbers, detailed description, and supporting photos

  • Inspection or return may be required before action is taken


8. Claims

  • All product claims must be submitted within 30 days of delivery using our claim form

  • Invoices related to approved claims must be submitted within 30 days, including engineer reports and itemised documentation


9. Retention of Title

  • Risk transfers to the buyer upon delivery

  • Legal ownership remains with Fridges World until full payment is received

  • In case of insolvency or non-payment, Fridges World reserves the right to recover goods


10. Limitation of Liability

  • Fridges World is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including business interruption or loss of profit

  • Our maximum liability is limited to the contract value of the goods supplied


11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales

  • Disputes will be resolved exclusively by the English courts

Our After-Sales and Warranty services are designed to ensure your satisfaction and the long-term performance of your refrigeration equipment.

  • Advice on maintenance and proper use

  • Troubleshooting basic issues

  • Guidance on setting up your equipment correctly

If you experience any issues after receiving your fridge:

  • Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery if there is visible damage or defects.

  • Submit your claim with your order numberdetailed description, and photographs.

Warranty Coverage

All our products come with a 1-year parts and labour warranty, including:

  • 1-year warranty on the compressor

  • Cover for manufacturing defects

  • Support for decorative damages during transit (must be reported within 48 hours)

Warranty Does Not Cover:

  • Damage from misuse, improper installation, or negligence

  • Electrical issues such as unstable voltages or surges

  • Damage caused by third-party services or non-certified installation

Important:
Warranty claims must be made in writing with supporting evidence (photos, order number, and description).
An inspection may be required before approval.
