TERMS & CONDITIONS – WARRANTY POLICY

FRIDGES WORLD – TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE

At Fridges World, we specialise in custom-made, made-to-order, and in-stock refrigeration systems tailored to professional customers. All sales are strictly business-to-business (B2B) transactions. Consumer cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 do not apply.

By placing an order, the Buyer acknowledges and accepts these Terms & Conditions in full.


1. PAYMENT TERMS

  • 70% deposit required to confirm the order and begin production.

  • 20% payment due when goods are ready for dispatch.

  • 10% final payment due upon completion or installation.

  • Orders will not proceed or be delivered without timely payment at each stage.

  • Late payments may incur storage charges or suspension of delivery.


2. PRICING

  • All prices are exclusive of VAT.

  • Prices may be adjusted due to raw material cost increases or currency fluctuations.

  • Quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated in writing.


3. PRODUCT CATEGORIES & CANCELLATION POLICY

3.1 Custom-Made Goods (Bespoke to Measurements)

  • Non-cancellable and non-refundable once production has commenced.

  • Cancellations only permitted within 2 working days of order confirmation, if production has not started.

  • No refunds or returns except in cases of proven manufacturing defect under warranty.

3.2 Made-to-Order Standard Goods (e.g. Arneg factory products)

  • Non-cancellable once the order is placed with the supplier.

  • No refunds or returns except in cases of proven manufacturing defect under warranty.

3.3 In-Stock Goods (UK warehouse)

  • Sold strictly B2B.

  • Non-cancellable and non-refundable once dispatched.

  • Only accepted for return if proven defective under warranty and reported within 48 hours with photos.

  • In exceptional cases where Fridges World, at its sole discretion, accepts a return of in-stock goods, the Buyer is responsible for:

    • All return transportation, insurance, and redelivery costs.

    • Any associated handling and storage charges.

    • A restocking fee of up to 20% of the product price.

  • Goods must be unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition. Refunds (where applicable) will only be processed once goods are inspected and approved by Fridges World.


4. DELIVERY, ACCESS & FAILED DELIVERY

  • Standard lead time is 8 weeks from deposit and final specification approval, extendable by up to 8 further weeks for supply chain or customs delays.

  • Delivery is kerb-side only, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Buyer is responsible for ensuring:

    • Suitable site access (doorways, corridors, staircases, lifts).

    • Presence of an authorised person at agreed delivery time.

    • Safe unloading, positioning, and installation by certified contractors. 

  • Deliveries must be inspected immediately upon receipt. Any damage or discrepancy must be noted on delivery documentation and reported in writing within 48 hours with photos. Failure to do so may result in loss of rights to claim.

  • If delivery cannot be completed due to Buyer absence, unsuitable access, or site conditions:

    • Goods remain non-refundable.

    • Redelivery, storage, or aborted delivery fees will apply.

    • Risk of the goods transfers to the Buyer once delivery is attempted.


5. CONSTRUCTION & ELECTRICAL WORK

  • Fridges World does not provide construction, plumbing, or electrical services.

  • Improper or uncertified installation will void warranty.


6. REFUND & RETURN POLICY

  • Refunds will not be granted in cases involving:

    • Change of mind.

    • Third-party delays (e.g. shipping, customs, installation).

    • Incorrect specifications provided by the Buyer.

    • Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or uncertified installation.

  • Visible transport damage must be reported in writing with photos within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Reporting a defect does not entitle the Buyer to return the goods automatically.

  • Fridges World will first provide repair or replacement of defective parts under warranty.

  • Only if repair or replacement is not reasonably possible will a return or refund be considered, at Fridges World’s sole discretion.


7. WARRANTY TERMS

  • 1-year parts and labour warranty from date of delivery.

  • 1-year compressor warranty.

  • Decorative components/finishes damaged in transit replaced free of charge if reported within 48 hours.

  • Warranty service is limited to repair or replacement of defective parts. Full unit replacement or refund will only be considered if repair is not possible.

  • Warranty excludes:

    • Misuse, negligence, or lack of maintenance.

    • Electrical faults, unstable voltages, or power surges.

    • Incorrect or uncertified installation.

    • Damage caused by third-party services.

  • All warranty claims must include serial numbers, description, and photos.

  • Fridges World reserves the right to inspect the product before any warranty action is taken.

  • Labour, call-out, and service costs are payable by the Buyer unless otherwise agreed in writing.


8. CLAIMS

  • All product claims must be submitted via email within 30 days of delivery.

  • Invoices for approved claims must be submitted within 30 days, including engineer reports and itemised documentation.


9. RETENTION OF TITLE

  • Risk transfers to the Buyer upon delivery or attempted delivery.

  • Legal ownership remains with Fridges World until full payment is received.

  • In case of insolvency or non-payment, Fridges World reserves the right to recover goods.


10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

  • Fridges World is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including business interruption, loss of profit, or opportunity.

  • Maximum liability is limited to the contract value of the goods supplied.

  • Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.


11. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • Disputes will be resolved exclusively by the English courts.


12. FORCE MAJEURE

  • Fridges World shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, lockouts, transport disruption, raw material shortages, pandemics, natural disasters, or government restrictions.

  • In such cases, delivery times may be extended, or orders rescheduled without liability.
